Who We Are

Nothing hurts more than losing a loved one to suicide. Nothing terrifies more than a loved one feeling or acting suicidal. At the Center for Suicide Research and Intervention (CSRI), we believe in the power of hope, healing, and connection. Our mission is to prevent suicide and support those affected by it through offering a safe and compassionate space where individuals can find understanding, care, and support.

Ours is a journey of love for people who struggle with suicidality, a desire to bring hope, light, purpose, and reasons to be here tomorrow.

CSRI was founded by a team of passionate individuals with lived experience out of a desire to develop comprehensive and integrated approaches to preventing suicide and reducing its impact.

Our model is geared towards exploring the cultural issues around suicide risk factors and prevention, designing approaches that respectfully address the suicide crisis and providing  practical tools and resources that the community can use with ease.

Through our work, we strive to create a world where people feel Safe, supported, heard, and empowered to reach out when they need help. Our research, educational programs, and community outreach are all designed to reduce stigma, raise awareness, and build stronger, more resilient communities.

At CSRI, we offer more than just support; we offer a sense of belonging. Whether it’s through therapy, support groups, or simply being there for someone in need, we provide the tools and space for healing.

We believe that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and cared for, and we are here to walk alongside individuals and families on their journey to recovery.
