Skiza Project/ Human Library

Skiza is an  innovative and impactful event that brings together diverse voices and experiences in a safe, open, and enriching environment. Much like a traditional library where you borrow books, Skiza offers a unique opportunity to “borrow” people—individuals who share their personal stories, experiences, and insights. The program fosters understanding, promotes empathy, and challenges societal prejudices by offering a platform for real, human connections.

Why Skiza?

In a world that is becoming increasingly connected yet divided, it’s important to understand one another and embrace diversity. The Skiza Program is designed to bridge gaps in communication and challenge the biases that often lead to misunderstanding. The event is an opportunity to connect on a deeper level, hear stories that might otherwise go untold, and celebrate the richness of human experiences.

The heart of Skiza lies in its Human Library. Participants have the opportunity to “borrow” a Human Book for a 15–20-minute one-on-one or small group conversation. Each Human Book offers a unique perspective through their life stories. These conversations are open, honest, and judgment-free, allowing for vulnerability and connection.

Featured Categories of Human books:

  • Survivors of Adversity – Individuals who have overcome personal or societal challenges.
  • Mental Health Advocates – People who share their experiences of mental health struggles or advocacy.
  • Cultural Ambassadors – People who represent diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences.
  • Experts & Innovators – Professionals and trailblazers in unique fields who share their journey and knowledge.
  • Young Voices – Youth who provide insights into challenges and triumphs unique to their generation.
